The Viserart Neutral Mattes petite palette is such a staple in my collection. It's the only neutral palette I own aside from the Glamlite Garfield palette, actually. Then I have the Blends palette plus a few singles for colorful mattes. And then I have 18 single shimmers to pair with the ones in the Garfield palette to go with all the mattes, lol. 😅 I have such a small collection. But I do have some palettes on my wishlist, and plan to utilize black friday sales. They're ones I've really been wanting for a long time and have gone back and forth about and keep thinking about them. And they do bring something different to my collection. That's a requirement for me. 😊💚
I started spraying the shimmer in my Viseart palettes with my Mac Fix Plus. They still aren't indie shimming, but it gives them a little pop, which is what I'm looking for on my Viseart days. I love the shifty shiny shimmers, but some days I just don't want the super shine lol.
Hi Cara! I love my viseart palettes (I have lots of them) and use them everytime I want an effortless but gratifying makeup. And I also take them with me when I travel.

I panned several shades in several palettes 2016-2020 LOL. Then I went from 50 or less palettes, to hundreds. 😅😂 Back then I would get excited about a palette and then use it almost everyday for weeks (now the brands have another release before you even get the first one in the mail). I bought my 3rd ABH Modern Renaissance early 2020. And then used it like once. Same with Tarte and a few others. It was a different time. Around 2019-2020 I really got into indie and they were putting new palettes constantly.... I'm ashamed to say, I have a ton of palettes I've only used once... or not at all! Needless to say, I'm correcting my purchasing habits and going to force myself to use everything I have (or sell or declutter it to someone). Anyways, your comment about never panning palettes cracked me up. It's just not same as it once was (for me).
I think we all have palettes we just had to have and then only used them once (or not at all yet). It happens to the best of us. We are all makeup lovers/hoarders/collectors!❤
ABH Modern rennaisance is one of my favorite palettes. I just love those colors. I'm amazed you panned it! I've only panned Wet n Wild palettes.
@tedoymisojos oh yes, I used my first one almost every day. For months LOL. I didn't pan it, like completely empty. But I did have pans in all the shades except one, which had a huge dip. It was so wrecked I tossed it and got a 2nd one. Used it quite a bit, bit not every day and ended up mostly panned about 6 months after. Bought a 3rd and I use it once on awhile. I still love it, but have so many it doesn't get the attention the first two got LOL.
For yearrrsss I've had my eye on viseart because folks always say their mattes are superb. However, i have mattes i already adore & i know im not going to enjoy viseart shimmers. Im glad I've managed to hold off on purchasing viseart cuz i certainly do not need more eyeshadow that are just gonna sit! Thanks Cara 💜
They are nothing special. You def are not missing out. I think they are at the level of Colourpop and Glamlite. If you have palettes from Sydney Grace, BH Cosmetics, Sephora Brand, Charlotte tilbury, Blend Bunny, etc you have superior shadows to viseart (sephora brand can have worst shimmers but mattes are as good or better).
Hey Cara!👋🏽 I just actually shopped the Viseart “Hot August” Sale (whatever that means). It’s a formula I’ve been meaning to try. There were 3 palettes I had my eyes on and all 3 finally came into stock and all aligned for me for the sale. I love that for me. I know it’s been staples for a few other ppl and it will be a new experience for me. I don’t see it as a stand alone palette, I intend to pair them with other shimmers & duochromes. Love a collab!!! 🦩🦩
My fav look was the smokey tones with the dark, berry lip. It reminds me of a look in Iman's Beauty of Color called smoke screen. I have the same experience with their shimmers. The couple of videos of muas I've seen using them, always apply them on top of eyeshadow bases, or mix them with stuff like Duraline. I can see why! The looks still turn out fine, just not great.
Cara I know you say that Viseart is not for you. These looks are all really so nice. You worked each palette. I love the cool tone because it is smoke show. You're right that the mattes are highly desirable. I wished Sephora still had a Viseart counter. These palettes look fun. :) Good job. If you want to be light, you can use those mattes as liners with a pretty neutral all over on the lid. Shadows look glamorous to me. I watch in 1440p HD. Real nice quality. Yes, we have to encourage one another and be helpful. August excitement at the end. Markie is a growing young man. I wonder if he is having growing hunger.
I think the shadows look really cute!I don’t think you don’t have an open mind to viseart their formula is top tier! But also you have a lot of indie shadows. So that affects your opinion I think

I don't reach for mine either. Love this collab idea. Maybe the palettes can make some good looks. I'm sure my socks will remain on (its Viseart after all), but I'm very curious.
I think Viseart is a good brand for shimmers if you don't want to stand out. Like I am both LOL and serious. I like a certain level of shimmer, but most women I see do not wear sparkly or colorful makeup - whether it's bc they don't want to or don't feel like they can. The people I see - at work, the grocery store, shopping malls, etc. - are not wearing much or anything.
I think Viseart excels in the "whole package". They aren't the best in one thing, but give customers a great overall product and experience. The shimmers are toned down, but this is prob what most of their customers want. The mattes are of course better than anything at the drugstore. The color stories are unique compared to luxury and drugstore, but more permanent and everyday (for ppl w cool or reddish undertones at least) than other indie brands. The packaging is really nice - either professional looking or fun, has a mirror, is magnetic, and is very compact.
I recently bought the Soleil de la Plage and the petit Chou Chou when they were 50% off. Got the Soleil de La Plage bc 1) been wanting to try Viseart's quality, 2) realized the La Plage was a Viseart palette that would suit my yellow undertone (prob the only one too), 3) was looking for a compact, cardboard travel palette, and 4) was actually looking for something more toned down. The Chou Chou was just cute (and I still haven't used it, but it makes me irrationally happy that it feels like a fancy Trident gum pack when pulling the palette out of its sleeve, lol).
Anyway, I like La Plage as a whole package, but glad I waited for 50% off. The shimmers are toned-down and remind me of my old Cover Girl and Loreal shadows from 10 and 15 yrs ago, which are meh for my actual prefs, but great for the toned-down work shimmers I was aiming for. Mattes are very good, but not my all-time fav. They blend out well, but they aren't as buttery as Glamlite, ER, Gloss Gods, or my fav CP quad mattes.
Your looks were more subtle than your usual style, but very pretty when everything was done. 🥰 That's the feeling I got with my looks as well.

Morgan turner influenced me to check out viseart & I ended up buying 2 palettes during a sale that I did not care for. Being Latina , I don’t think these softer looks compliment my complexion. Plus, I don’t like looking dusty !😂
